Are the JW rules different worldwide ??? and WHY ???

i have read alot of threads recently and it seems to me that each country of jw's has a set of different rules.

maybe most of the doctrines are the same, but there seems to be a big difference in ............... beards ........ clothing ........ tatoos ......... piercing body ......... grooming in general ......... cars ........... jobs you do ........ schooling .............. university ........... dating .......... what do you think ????????.

i read one comment (can't remeber who it was) who said that the usa jw's seem to be alot more concerned about stupid little things then most other countries.. hopefully we will get comments from all over the world on this topic, and compare some differences.. also brings up the question why ???????.

i remember vaguely, well all hell broke loose in the late 70's regarding, ray franz being df'd, and the witch hunt at bethel.

i was just a little kid at the time, and didn't pay much attention.. i know ray's point of view, from what i've read on this board, and also ordered myself his book "crisis of conscience"(should be a good read).

i think back now, i remember the event happening, and the speaker talking about it at our circuit assembly, but i don't recall the reasons (bs) he gave.

Here in sweden this was an unoed thing, only a littel point in KM , that some have to be dfd in brooklyn, and that this was not anything to worry about, beaucause this shall happend in the last days, or something like that.

It is a bigg surprise to now read hes book and hes story, one thing i have think about, and this is that RF say that it was not independent bibelstudy in Brooklyn, but several others say it was, this is confusing, and when i ask i have no answers.

one of my witness family members agreed to take a look at crisis of conscience, and after.

perusing the first couple of chapters, said that she thought it could be all made up.

if the watchtower changed it's blood doctrine to one where publishers could do what their conscience dictated without fear of reprisals from the brothers, if they also quit using the two witness rule and said all criminal accusations must be reported to the police, if they stopped shunning, if they said all df and da'd could associate with their friends and family, if they apologized to ray franz and all others who were hurt by their policies; would exjws respect their dogma and refrain from putting down their religious beliefs to their faces?.

this is an important question, more important than you know.

Very intresting points, as an ongoing former elder, and I think liberal JW, I waiting on this things,most important fore mee is the shunning polyci, who think hurt us tremendesly.

I dont now if you have some insder from Brooklyn, or if this is your one thaugts, but i sure hope some of this things happening.

I think we are a lot of peoepl who dont fitt inn now, and if the society dont want to lose us, they must do some of this changes, we are still waiting, and some suffer, but we are still inn, your points are I think most fore us, and not fore this who hate Jw, and want to destoy it.

most of us like many docktrins from JW, and see that this is the only religion who stand free from war and corupt politiks, this religion have also give us hope to live on earth forever, also that unik belife.

when I talk to many of my friends inn JW they see the problem but they go on, beaucause this religion have give them a lot of happiness, some tell me that they have no other place to goo, so we are not so few, who are waiting on this to come , thanks IW fore giving us some hope, I thnik I am one of few aktive JW who are here, and fore mee this site have been like a relife, i was not crayzy, it was not only in our cong it wAS THIS hard men ruling, tracking down at us who was more liberal, and push us out from elder psition, here I find that this was ongoing thing on many places, fore me this was a proff of that we have wolfs in our leadership, and if We have a Jehova widh power he must ackt, I say like bibel, if this religion is from men it will die, and if it is from Jehova it will stand.

thanks fore this debatt, I think it was the most edjucatied I ever read here, perhaps this should bee read of evry JW like mee to understand this issu , a littel bit, thanks to the wictims as told ther story, and all former elders and bhetelites as tell ther wuie, and also sword of jah, as tell hes points, I can as ongoing JW tell some also.

I now several case here in sweden and they have been dfd and send to prison, so I think this is diffrent , depends perhaps on who is handeling this things, not only in cong, also CO and legeal dep, have diffrent peopel who handel this things, and this result in diffrent outcome I think, some CO are very afraid of that some bad is coming out from ther congs, and perhaps try to proteckt themsevls.

I also think we never heard one word from this still inn, to much to lose to tell this things, even myself have seen things when I was young who I never told anyone, why? yes Why, to much to lose, how want to destroy a whole cong and your parents life , your childrens life and so on, is the prise not to high , i think it is to many on going JW, they prefer to live widh the memorys, and try to handel them inside them self.

I putt this in jehovas hands, cant do anyhthing else, but I can sure understand the frustration from this who dont can live widh this and come forward widh it and have no witnneses and are not belived by the elders, if I tell what I saw 35 years ago, I have no wittness, I now the involvd peopel never will confess,

but I can tell it is sure difficult to listen to all speaks and all demonsraitions from them under 35 years,

so in this I am also a wicktim, hurt in my heart of what i saw fore so long time ago.

One thing we can thank BB fore, now it is end of this , here it is almost oppostie now, evryone are afaid to do anything wrong, so this fight have some good, not so many more abused children i think, perhaps Jehova have used BB to show this problem as we studied on WT sunday, kings from Israel do a lot of bad things, but was told from surten men send from jehova what wrong they was doing and was p unished , BUT WHO LOOK AT THE GOW BODY TODAY ?
